DOUBLE PAGE SLPASH

The double page spread is the main article in the magazine. I know this because it links directly to the main cover image. Certain generic elements are used to link the cover to the article which i shall discuss.

The house style is continued from the cover and contents with the font which connotes that it is the main article. The colours of the article title are a blue sky with clouds image in the 'golden gods v' text and an image of flames for the 'welcome to hell' text underneath. This gives connotations of the bands being 'fallen angels' as such as the sky represents heaven, gods etc and the flames are used to represent hell and the devil. The small white text is used to give an explaination of the event. The white text under the explaination is smaller because it isn't as important to the reader as the rest of the text. Red text is used in the house style for the quote because it attracts the audience and gives them a taster of what will be talked about in the article. 'Rob flynn, machine head' is directly under the quote in yellow lettering to alert all machine head fans and it is yellow because it links with the golden gods theme.
